We are a varied community at different ages and stages in life, intentional about building relationships across the generations. We believe God has placed us in this great community and we love the community we live in; it’s our aim to contribute to making our local area better. We’re thankful for the people who started this church and built the facilities we presently have and we’re looking forward to a bright future here. We love to connect with others, so please come along and check out what we’re about.
Mike McGarrity | Leader of Connect Church
Connect Church has been in Engadine – as part of a network of churches known as Fresh Hope (Churches of Christ in NSW) - for over 50 years. We continue to serve our local community though our Preschool which has been operating for more than 40 years and we also engage in a number of community projects. We’re committed to learning more about God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – learning what it is to be authentic followers of Jesus and doing it together as a community. We’re not perfect people but we do our best to live out an authentic Christian life.
Connect Church believes that life is a journey and that life is better when we journey together with God. We believe God is love (1 John 4) and God loves all people (John 3:16); God wants connection with every person and wants people to connect with one another too.
We believe the way to connect with God is through faith in Jesus Christ and we love to help people to connect. We teach more about the things we believe in our Sunday services, smaller group gatherings and various courses.
is to Connect people deeper into the Kingdom of God.
is to be a Spirit-filled, intergenerational, life-giving community.

We believe God is calling Connect Church into a season of growing in faith. The concept of faith is explored many times in the Bible, and is vital in our relationship with Jesus. This year, we will be exploring seeing in faith (Hebrews 11), walking by Faith (2 Corinthians 5), faith in the Word (Romans 10) and faith in works (James 2). We're excited to see God move as we press into Him and grow in faith as we see it rise in us and in our community.
Children are engaged in a variety of activities that encourage them to explore the nature of God through Jesus. This will include bible themes, games, drama, songs, craft, stories and morning tea. Each Sunday, after joining in worship with the rest of the church, kids join a group, with others at the same stage, for the rest of the morning. The Journey begins in Launch Lane (age 0-3yrs), children then graduate to Discovery Drive (3-5yrs) then they move to Inspiration Highway (5- 12yrs) Once they enter the teen years they enter into our EPIC group (12-15yrs). We run Journey from 9:30am most Sunday mornings.
